Philosophy of Education
The experience I have from working in a school for the last ten years and my personal philosophy of education have changed a little. Since the first time I stepped into the classroom and now reflecting on the additional knowledge I have gained by attending NAU, my main focus has been to build strong relationships with every student that walks into my classroom and acknowledge that every student has different needs and has developed different ways to learn. Students can learn their best when they feel safe and are welcomed in the classroom. I believe my classroom should be a "community" and build a relationship with not only me as their teacher but with peers as well. I want the students to be curious about their learning but feel comfortable enough in their little community to speak their voice and to find their identity.
